Doctor Who | Series 7B titles Reinterpretation

This has been a while in the making. I really wanted to just take the 7B titles, and take out some of the extraneous "abstract" stuff, and try to make it more presentable, less cluttered. Unfortunately, all that left was an extremely generic couple of space scenes with some vortexes in between. As it turns out, there really wasn't much to the 2013 intro when you take away all the stuff that looked terrible. So I kept the basic structure - all the camera movements are there, the color scheme is similar, and it keeps the general "nebula, vortex, nebula, vortex" structure of the original - but tried to make the end product less abstract. I did keep the way the logo bursts into sparks, because I thought that was pretty cool, and made for a good way to transition to the ending vortex. I also kept the way the names transition on, as that was one of the cooler ideas used in the original. I also tried to make the ending "TARDIS envelops the screen" animation as close to the original as possible, but with the doors opening the right (that is to say, wrong :P ) way, and with the actual enveloping part happening more gradually. For the infamous "wolf and rose" Easter egg, I did something a little different. The constellation that is front and center after the moon blows up is the constellation Lupus (at least it is as far as I can tell. Dammit man, I'm an animator, not an astronomer), while the continent facing the camera on the planet is shaped like a rose. A bit more subtle than the original, and I think it's all the better for it. Easter eggs work way better when they're not being shoved in your face. If anyone's curious, the font I used for the names is Levenim MT. I needed something with pointy M's, like they used in the original. It took some searching, but I finally found something close enough. The ending tunnel is one of my earliest attempts at making a tunnel in Trapcode Mir, so if you have any experience with that particular plugin, and can make suggestions on how to improve upon this one, I'm all ears. It's not very clear here, as it's only visible for a moment, but I've made some major adjustments to my TARDIS model. I created some nice Specular maps, tweaked the color a bit, and finally created a nicer normal map. The lamp on top is also completely different, but that's covered up by a lens flare. Anyway... thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed it, and let me know why if you didn't. _________________________________________________________________ Commission Information: If you would like me to create a Doctor Who intro for your series, I'll be charging $50 for the finished product. If you're under the impression that this is way too much, consider that a single intro takes me about 10 hours of work to put together(this one took ten hours for a single render, and there were 3 different drafts of this intro), and the minimum wage where I live is $8.05, so I could be charging $80. I'm paying for college out-of-pocket right now, so doing these videos for free as many have requested is a time commitment I simply cannot afford. If you would like to hire me, email me at CHMagIII@hotmail.com. Give me a detailed description of how you would like the intro to look, including any color schemes you would like me to use. I'll send a watermarked first draft within 1-2 weeks, and you can tell me anything you'd like changed. The process will be repeated until you're satisfied. After that, we'll discuss payment. Thank you for your consideration.

Jacen Hale: That Dalek Saucer tho

Ace Films: nice! loved the part where you flew through jupiter, I'm surprised that i've never seen the concept of going through gas planets before.

Adam-Matic Gaming: So this is basically "what if the series 7B intro was actually cool."

TheMoonGodYT -TMGYT-gmod Doctor who: Teach me to make those Textured and animated words !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drea González: Why the BBC doesn't hire you? whYYYY?????

Mr. JustAGuyWithALightsaber: Looks cooler than the original tbh

Hawkeye TV: How come the BBC didn't do anything like this?

Phoenix 24: Wow that was amazing. I could see at the start that you worked hard and through every moment in it I was surprised by how clever it was and also how close it came to the original. Very well done

MaccamatBux Animations: That planet transition was trippy as fudge

CosmicWanderer: This goes to show that the 2013 titles could have and should have been done a lot better

KobeJaxxx: This is a really cool title sequence. I love it! 10.0 - 10!

Jolanos: 0:11 - 0:15 You just nicked that from 'Rick and Morty' didn't ya? XD

Andrew Ford: Hahaha! Love that Dalek ship!

Jack Collins Martin: This is such an amazing recreation of this intro, and it's nice to see it recognized. I quite like the Series 7 part 2 intro, even though it is normally a bit underrated. The only very small nitpick In have on the intro is when we see Matt Smith's face, maybe you could fade it a bit more, and maybe tint it a little as the same colour as the purple clouds? I rather love this intro, and love your other ones. Keep up the good work! :D

Finlay H-S: Speaking as someone who loves the 7B intro, this version is actually really, really good! Like the exploding moon idea- it looks quite cool! And for the font, the one I find to be the most screen accurate is 'Contax'.

Yalan Energix: How did you made this awesome nebulas? They looks cooler then just fractal noise with 4-colour gradient.
p.c. sorry for bad english.

Wolf Fusion Trailers: your vids are so amazing can't you make an vid about how to make these awesome intro's?

Meb Themes: That was awesome!

DalekChris: Loved zooming into Jupiter! That was a great idea and it looked great too. Should have been in the original.

You ever watch Rick and Morty? It's an animated show, but that opening does a similar thing with a planet.

TempusWare: Everyone's doing 7B Recreations eh?
