But what is the value of mainstream schooling? Why is it that some of the most high profile and successful figures within the Western world openly admit to never having completed any form of higher learning? Paying homage to Jefferson Bethke's "Why I Hate Religion but Love Jesus", a piece that received 22 million views in the space of a week, I address a number of these issues in my offering "Why I Hate School, but Love Education". With scores of school leavers wanting to further their education with no guarantee of their dream job at the end of it, we should ask ourselves whether qualifications still hold the same value now as they did in previous years? Does success in the school system correlate to success in life? Or is the school system simply geared towards fact retention and regurgitation? TheTimeDefender: It Destroys my life!
TheTimeDefender: I HATE SCHOOL SO MUCH!
Caesar Sondakh: I have an education in the arts of football ⚽️. I want to play in the US national team. That's my dream u don't have the right to tell me I need another education to fall back on this is my life and I got one shot I'm not wasting my talent on exams I don't give a dam about or other people's suggestions It's my life my dream stop judging me by my bank account judge me by my character and love toward others. Schools even took away God who gives meaning and value in my life. They crush many dreams from brilliant kids who have so much in them every single year, well not mine...I finished high school and older adults always asking me are u going to college? It's super sad what kids have to deal with, No wonder so many people my age are depressed and suicidal. Society is really brainwashed. It's like I'm the only Lion walking around a bunch of sheep. Or the only humane around a bunch of robots...ooo what a sad world this is

Svetlin Sofiev: brilliant
Cheese Consumer: The ironic thing about this video is that this young man's grammar is appalling.
etecti: This is what you call bias selection.
ExPic: School takes the fun out of learning.
CalypsoParkour: I believe we should only learn about thing that we are gonna do like science why In hell do I need to learn science if I'm not gonna become a scientist
Yahye Hashi: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
gary schofield: Before 1992 we had the Polytechnic system in the UK. It offered academic higher education rather than vocational to students who showed a high level of intelligence. A degree was not proof that you could do a particular job but was proof that the graduate had a very full academic comprehension of a subject. Although this was not ideal for a lower class person many highly intelligent people opted for it, as learning was more important to them than money, but that is not to say that many did not go on to get very good jobs, because they most certainly did. The most important thing was that it allowed the working classes access to knowledge and therefore dignity and greater deal of power within the democratic system. The governments before M. Thatcher believed that it was important that the general populace had the right to an academic higher education and they were willing to pay for it; giving student grants and fees freely to those who managed to prove themselves of above standard intelligence or extremely gifted in some way. Back then if you wanted a good job through the education system you would go through further education and then opt for a City of Guilds course or find some other vocational root. The so called Universities today call their qualification a 'degree', but that is not what they are; they are no more than NVQ's.
Nolan 17: Children hate school because in school they are not free. Joyful learning requieres freedom
Joseph Gonzalez: Education is learning something new everyday, and take joy in that revelation. Education is nothing but a tool to use to better yourself, not with money or riches, but in heart and soul. Education is sharing and receiving. Education is personal growth. I know many people that have taken apprentices and with no college education are now journeymen earning lots of money as welder, diesel mechanics, radiologist,...it can be done, absolutely. As far has education being the key...absolutely wrong ..education is not the key...YOU ARE THE KEY and YOU ARE THE DREAM. Your efforts, your desire, your own pride in self..screw what others think or say...It is you...education is a quest ...a life long quest... its not number or dates...learning your neighbor's name, giving a burger and a water to a homeless person...some people will say, "that's not learning, that's only acts". To them , yes, it is acts; but inside your heart, you grown and your learn. Remember it is on you, you are the key and you are the dream
Semana Naseer: My school doesnt care about us learning they care about competition they put us in houses and made us competd against each other ans stupid rules and uncomfortable uniforms
Movie Mayhem Reacts: Thi sis all true to a certain extent the college system is far superior then the flawed HS system. I still believe and see that college isnt just about passing but truly learning about whatever free field you'd like to take up. Sure drop out and try to do what Steve jobs did, but most of you arent Steve jobs.
Meinderdt polderjong: Universities were never meant to educate a man solely for the workforce. They were invented as a way to pass down knowledge and to increase knowledge beyond what was know by doing research. That´s where you do an academic study for, to get knowledge and do research with it and not necessarily to prepare yourself for the workforce. And these exams are a way to test if you control that knowledge. Your degree is nothing more than a paper that tells you what pack of subjects you control. But if you go to an academic institution to get a degree so you can have a good career and don´t care much for learning than you´re at the wrong place as there are countless of other ways you can educate yourself in the work field you want to work in in the future. One example i can give you is an intern education that company´s provide where you will be coached and be doing the work you want to do instead of countless of hours practicing mathematics where get the feeling from that most of what you´re learning isn´t necessary for your future career. In the end most company´s don´t care much for degrees but rather for experience. And experience you can get in the work field, maybe not all for free but could definitely be more worth your time. I know a man who did a technical course of one year and is making more money than the average college graduate as an technician. My conclusion is that these institutions are there only to give you the knowledge in the field you study in, not to give you the guarantee to a good job and a fulfilling live as there are many more ways to educate your self. That being said i wish you all the best of luck educating yourself.
