Heba Elsayed: what 's the email that I can send Qs to ?
ashutosh Singh: When is the best time to appear for the step 1??
Juhi Mittal: Hey Andrea, can you make a video specifically on research options after completing residency in Internal medicine ( for an Indian IMG resident)
imar castro: Very helpful , thanks
Asher Syed: do you get days off in residency
Dreaming Of Medicine: I love you and your videos but I wouldn't say asthma is simple I have home Nebs 7 inhalers 50mg of pred Daily aminophyllin montekukast many allergy meds too I also am waiting for mepolizumab as I have eosinophilic asthma so I wouldn't say it's simple this is why people think one puff of an inhaler and everything is alright and people think asthma is a running joke... in England 1 in every five households experiences a death from asthma 250,000 people die annually from them 15% of adults in the U.K. Have asthma and you wouldn't say copd is simple or angina is simple so please don't say it about asthma because asthma is a disease doctors are baffled by only now are they finding biological evidence that it's physical and not mental and it's no joke..... incredibly offended by that....
I know you didn't mean it in that way but as a doctor I'd hope you realise that this is how it can be seen.... I'm interested massively in respiratory and as a severe asthmatic I probably know more about it than most and so I know it's not simple.... it's complex and is affected by a multitude of factors
Never the less I still love you and your channel I just wanted to put out there that asthma is not simple it's complex and perplexing.....
Thank you for being a wonderful inspiration....
Ps my mum had a endoscopic and normal Dacrocystorhinostomy and I got to see the tube and the procedures it was incredible
Titan L: Andrea, I am from Bolivia, I have graduated from medicine in my country, I expect to take the USMLE and I was looking for physician scientist, what kind of residency does research with regenerative medicine, maybe cardiology?
Nikolas Martinez: Did you have to go from applying for an internship at the end of med school to then applying for a residency following that? or was the intern year bundled into the optho residency that you applied to? and also what's the point of doing an intern year in surgery if you have the option of less strenuous internships.
Bolt SRNA: I worked at a few different teaching hospitals with residents in the ICU. I love having them around (most of the time). In the unit you'd develop a relationship with them, both being in the trenches trying to keep the patient alive and well. Sometimes when the attending would be picking on one in rounds I'd jump in and try to help them out. This one guy would always forget to order his AM labs the day before. I'd do it at 7am when I got there. During pre-rounds he'd nearly piss himself realizing no labs are in the chart and grand rounds start in an hour, I'd just smile and say I ordered them for you 30 mins ago, no worries.
John the surfer: Problem I have with docs is they just write toxic meds. I want to actually HELP people instead of making big pharma rich with their meds. I wish everyone wasn't so focused on $ instead of actually helping people like addressing the root cause of health problems.
SHAKER: Why girls are intimidated to date a doctor...
Prog47: hey doc I'm an international med student studying in Czech rep. Duration of med school is 6 years. However, I will finish in 8-9 years. Does this matter when getting residency? Will I get asked about it? And will they think I'll be a worse doctor because I didn't finish on time?
Christina Gilkes: And why I should consider it compared to other hospitals
Christina Gilkes: When looking at medical schools to apply to, how do you know whats the best one for you? Also can you tell me what the Mayo Clinic is? I'm trying to understand what it specializes in?
Alexandria Lozano: When do you choose your specialty in med school?
TheDbird90: What tasks do you do every day as an intern? I understand you learn how to manage patients, but what does that actually entail? Can you be very specific?
文弘韬: ever pre-med's dream
文弘韬: freaking mayo. <>
Rick B.: how do people study during residency? is it like bankers who work until 5 and then study or does residency give you time off to study?
Andrew Buensalida: nice vlogs. question, if i have a 4 year degree in economics, can i still get in med school and how?
